Chapeltown Karate Club was formed in June 2001 by Sensei Gary Baker (3rd Dan) who is a qualified Coach and registered with Karate England

Chapeltown Karate Club is one of Fourteen clubs within the Shindo-Kai Karate Association in South Yorkshire which is run by joint Chief Instructors Ged & John Tumman (6th Dan).

The style of Karate practiced at the club is Wado-Ryu. Also practiced is practical & realistic Self Defence against Armed & Unarmed assailants. Most inportantly we Teach kids Life Skills such as Respect & Confidence.

We take part in various Courses & Competitions throughout the year aswell as raising money for local charities by carrying out sponsored challenges.
